This 24-week course blends theory with practice, allowing you to study research, apply learning in practical sessions, and engage in peer development.

Our Professional Coaching Diploma offers unparalleled flexibility, allowing you to take modules at your own pace over a period of up to two years. You can stack the six modules in any order, making it easy to fit your studies around your schedule. This approach enables you to spread both the time and cost of the programme, while gradually building a comprehensive coaching skill set that suits your needs.

Course Aims

  • Enable participants to achieve EMCC Practitioner Level accreditation.

Learning Outcomes

  • Description: This module explores the science behind coaching, focusing on Cognitive Behavioural Coaching and the neuroscience behind coaching. It delves into how applied and Second Wave Positive Psychology influence coaching practices.
  • Key Topics:
    • Foundations of Positive Psychology.
    • Neuroscience principles in coaching.
    • Integration of various psychological models in coaching.
  • Practical Elements:
    • Case studies and role-playing exercises to apply theoretical knowledge.

  • Description: Learn how to manage and resolve conflicts within individual and organisational settings. This module covers different conflict styles and psychometrics.
  • Key Topics:
    • Conflict resolution techniques.
    • Thomas Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument.
    • Strategies for managing organisational conflict.
  • Practical Elements:
    • Conflict resolution simulations and role-plays.

  • Description: Focus on wellbeing, resilience, and the Jess resilience-building© model. This module emphasises flourishing, post-traumatic growth (PTG) and resilience-building from a coaching perspective.
  • Key Topics:
    • Wellbeing theories and practices.
    • Jess© resilience-building model.
    • Strategies for promoting resilience in clients.
  • Practical Elements:
    • Interactive workshops on resilience techniques.

*Completion of this module is required in order to participate in the Jess© Advanced Practitioner course.

  • Description: Equip practitioners to work with teams at a foundational level.
  • Key Topics:
    • Components and assessment of ‘teaming’ (DC) behaviour.
    • Core elements of teaming.
    • Coaching to enable effective teams.
    • Diversity and inclusion in team settings.
    • Coaching techniques for team development.
  • Practical Elements:
    • Group activities and exercises.
    • Team coaching analysis.

  • Description: This new content module was designed in response to the increasing need for understanding and being able to work with clients who have neurodiverse needs and those struggling with various types of anxiety.
  • Key Topics:
    • What is Neurodiversity and how can coaching help?
    • What are the different anxiety disorders? And how can coaching help?
    • The connection between neurodiversity and anxiety.
    • The neuroscience behind anxiety.
    • Treatment options for anxiety – when and when not to use a coaching approach.
    • Using tools (like Jess©) learnt in the course to work with neurodiverse individuals.
  • Practical Elements:
    • Discussions and exercises around the topics.
    • Extensive coaching practice during sessions, using tools provided.
    • Demonstration coaching sessions.
    • Videos.

  • Description: Enhance performance and motivation through coaching. Explore various systems and ergonomic elements that contribute to performance.
  • Key Topics:
    • Performance enhancement strategies.
    • Red2Blue high-performance model.
    • Motivational coaching techniques.
  • Practical Elements:
    • Performance coaching simulations and feedback sessions.

  • Description: Integrate mindfulness practices into coaching sessions. Understand the role of mindfulness in enhancing performance and well-being.
  • Key Topics:
    • Mindfulness techniques and practices.
    • Benefits of mindfulness in coaching.
    • Applying mindfulness in one-on-one and team settings.
  • Practical Elements:
    • Guided mindfulness exercises and practice sessions.

  • Description: Advance your coaching style by understanding and practicing the elements of a thinking environment. Understand and apply your skills to change contexts in volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) environments.
  • Key Topics:
    • Applying individual coaching style to components of the ‘Thinking Environment’
    • Delve into the impact of a VUCA world on individuals and teams, and
    • Learn what and how the neuroscience behind coaching can motivate and engage individuals in other areas of their life.
  • Practical Elements:
    • Interactive exercises to discuss change and individual behaviour.
    • Discussions around coaching impact in change scenarios.
    • Coaching practice using elements of the TE.
    • Application of above to own life for further transformation.

Duration

Accreditation

This course is accredited by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) at the Practitioner Level. Upon completion, participants will receive the EMCC Quality Award (EQA) and can progress towards an EMCC Individual Accreditation (EIA).
